Lynn Haddock is one of the most accomplished and versatile competitors in karting history, with a career that spanned four decades and left an enduring mark on the sport. Racing continuously from 1958 through 1998, Haddock demonstrated exceptional talent across virtually every major form of kart racing.
During his remarkable driving career, Haddock captured more than 100 National Championships sanctioned by the International Kart Federation (IKF), World Karting Association (WKA), and Professional Kart Association (PKA). His success came in an extraordinary variety of disciplines, including two-cycle and four-cycle competition, sprint racing, enduro racing, speedway, and road racing on both dirt and asphalt surfaces.
Among his many accomplishments, Haddock earned more than 60 prestigious Duffy Awards from the IKF, a testament to his sustained excellence and dominance in national competition. His ability to adapt and win in multiple racing formats established him as one of the most versatile drivers of his generation.
Beyond his achievements behind the wheel, Haddock also contributed to the sport as a mechanic. One of the highlights of his career came in 1978 when he served as mechanic for Lake Speed during Speed's World Karting Championship victory. That championship helped launch Speed's path to becoming one of America's most recognized racers.
Through 40 consecutive years of competition, Lynn Haddock exemplified dedication, skill, and sportsmanship. His championship record, versatility across racing disciplines, and contributions both as a driver and mechanic have secured his place among karting's all-time greats.
