Danny Hodapp
Over an almost 50-year career, Seattle, Washington’s Danny Hodapp earned his place as one of the legends of American karting in the Pacific Northwest. He started racing in Tacoma in 1968 when he was 15, and over the years, he was always up front. Danny was a two-time IKF Duffy winner, scoring his first crown in 100cc Stock Foreign at the 1977 Nationals in Atwater, California. He became

Bobby Allen, 19 year old Winner of the 2nd World Karting Championship the 1960 Nassau Speed Week was the biggest motor racing festival in the world. Wanting to promote karting to the biggest motoring audience they could, the Grand Prix Kart Club International and the Royal Automobile Club of Great Britain, at the second World Karting Championship, more than 100 drivers entered the event.

Glen Araki

Doug Fleming
Started racing at Kartsville in San Diego in 1980. Just two years into his career, he realized the people building his engines didn’t want to win as badly as he did—so he took matters into his own hands. In 1982, he opened his own kart shop, then honed his craft further at Chuck Pittinger’s shop starting in 1992. He returned to business for himself in 2002.

A note from Jim: Tim – thank you so much for the honor of being included with some of the true heroes and legends of karting from the heyday of this great sport. I am just sorry I couldn’t of been there but I just hate flying today and the solo drive at 81 would have knocked me out for a day or two.

Thank you for all you do to preserve the history of karting. It's an honor to be included with such a great group of people. We have always raced as a family until the day dad passed. And continue to do so today. Hope to see you at a future HOF event.
Sincerely,
Bryan Araki
